Toni's Swedish Weaving Afghans

These are 3 of Toni's afghans and it just goes to show that this blog can attract other Swedish weavers and we can all learn something new from each other.  Toni said that she dyed the yellow afghan herself so that's a new idea for us.  I'm very interested in how she's woven the sailboats so, if she's reading this, I'd love to have the pattern for that.

Welcome, Toni, and I hope to hear from you again!

  1. I have enjoyed looking at all the artwork on your blog by you and your friends. I have recently learned of Swedish Weaving and am trying to find some free patterns. Can you help direct me to some?

I find it interesting you live in Canada and Florida because I heard of Swedish Weaving from another Snowbird while at my mom's condo in Panama City Beach, Florida, last month. Apparently the senior group learned it over the winter and a lady that now stays all year was telling my mom and I about it. I went home and got some Monk Cloth and washed and dried and am now ready to start but have no patterns and our friend in Florida is on vacation right now with her kids. I would love it if you could help me find something.

  2. I am also new to swedish weaving. I just found a book at a used book store for $1! They thought they had nothing but I kept going thru book by book. They were unfamiliar with it. Now that they know they will keep an eye out for me. Find someone to share with but buy a pattern here and there so someone else is not always footing the bill. I will share with my mom. A good site is the Monk Cloth Lady

    1. It's always a nice surprise to find used Swedish weaving books. I check out yard sales and bazaars, too.

    1. This was a photo sent to me so I don't know the pattern. I copied it from the photo and used it myself, too.
