Dee's Afghan in Progress

There's still a long way to go but I'm getting there.  I'd like to have it done before I leave Florida but, if not, I can give it to Dee when we meet at the casino back home this summer.

I love the fresh look of the pumpkin and golden beige on the white fabric, too.  Dee wanted something to go with browns and this will do nicely.

I'm adapting an existing pattern for my needs and wants with this afghan so the finished project will be one of a kind with lots of love woven into it.

  1. It looks really great so far. I love orange, especially the pumpkin or coppery shades.

I’ve been working up samples of patterns for the baby blanket project. I ordered the colored monks cloth today, and I’ll get the yarn Thursday when I can go to Hobby Lobby in the big city. I was planning to wait another couple of weeks to get everything, then I found out they moved the baby shower up a whole month! I reckon it’s time to get busy. Since I truly enjoy Swedish weaving, it’s no hardship. Pictures soon!

  2. Just a thought...if you don't finish in time, take a photo of the blanket and insert it in the card showing the gift so far.
